THE GOURMET GROUP
Our Mission:
The Gourmet Group owns and operates niche market, special event catering services in the Greater Toronto area. We are focused and specialized, which allows us to provide high quality, cooked-on-site food experiences to large volumes of guests at very reasonable prices.
Our Relationships:
Our clients, staff, and community are the reasons we do what we do. Establishing, building and nurturing these relationships is how we grow.
Our Goal:
The Gourmet Group’s Goal is to provide our catering marketplace with an ever changing array of specialty food experiences. We want to build a network based on excellence of service and product that can simply be defined as “the best of the best”.
Our Community:
At The Gourmet Group, we believe that it is both a privilege and honour to give back to our community. Through our charitable affiliations, we contribute an ever expanding list of products and services to help raise funds and awareness for worthy causes. A few examples include:

– Giant Steps Toronto/York Region
– Mississauga Special Olympics
– United Way Toronto
Local Focus:
In our immediate neighbourhood is The Bethlehem United Shelter, operated by the Fred Victor Centre. It provides 24hr emergency shelter for marginalized adult men and women who are homeless and under housed. Along with our clients, we donate excess food from our events to the shelter in order to assist them in feeding their residents.
Sustainability:
At The Gourmet Group, we strive to provide our clients food options that include local sourcing of protein, produce, co ingredient and packaging options. Working closely with our key suppliers, we actively promote sources in a 160km radius of Toronto, with a special focus on family farm operations.
Environment:
On site, we work with our clients to provide limited waste events through recycling and food handling practices. We offer fully biodegradable disposable options (ASTM6868). Upon request, we will calculate the carbon footprint generated by the event, and purchase gold standard offsets to render the event carbon neutral.
In addition, we will create custom menus that fulfill LEED requirements for our clients.

At The Gourmet Group, we are committed to providing our clients with the latest options for products, services and environmental stewardship. We look at all aspects of our operation to investigate and implement improvements in an ever changing world.
